TL;DR
This article will highlight some of the best consultants for each specific marketing category (Growth, CRO, SEO, PPC, Social Ads, etc.)
Finding the right marketing partner can be tough.
But looking for an individual marketing service partner is even harder.
Most SaaS companies looking specifically for freelancers and consultants find agencies instead.
While agencies are great and all, sometimes you’d rather partner with a consultant who can offer more personalized services.
If you’re looking for a marketing-specific provider, then you’ve come to the right place.
To help you out, I put together this article that covers some of the best consultants for each specific marketing category.
Let’s jump in.
Taylor Scher Consulting - Best for SEO and Content Marketing Strategy (With a Dog)

Yes, I am putting myself at the top of this list.
But not as the best overall, just at what I do.
My services are specific to SEO and content marketing.
I offer SEO consulting services for B2B SaaS companies of all sizes, but startups and mid-sized companies benefit most.
My services are entirely different from those of an agency.
Instead of taking on as many clients as possible, I typically only take on 3-5 clients at a time. I do this so I can give each client 100% of my time.
I’m also very hands-on with my projects. This includes weekly meetings, monthly reporting sessions, and working directly with your team inside Slack.
I offer a few different packages that include SEO consulting, fractional SEO, content creation, and content creation + PR.
As a consultant, I’ll point you in the right direction and help guide your strategy, but you’ll execute it.
With the fractional SEO package, I basically work as an extension of your team. You’re pretty much hiring an in-house SEO, without the high onboarding costs or added overhead.
My campaigns are also very straight to the point. Before the contract even begins, you’ll get an SEO audit that acts as a roadmap for the entire engagement.
So no guessing or half-planned strategies. From day one, you’ll know exactly what my vision is for your site.
If you’re looking for help with SEO and AI search strategy, I’m your guy.
Also, there’s a dog! How much better does it get than that?
Gaetano Nino DiNardi - Best for Growth Strategy and Demand Generation

Gaetano is seriously one of the smartest minds out there in marketing.
His main focus is on growth and demand generation, helping companies identify, capture, and close on in-market, solution-seeking buyers who are ready to convert.
Gaetano can help with SEO, but really, his services are aligned with generating demand and capturing it. So this includes Paid Search, marketing team training, and fractional growth.
He’s very clear: he’s all about action and tangible results. Not excessive reports, meetings, or forecasting.
He has worked with a wide range of different clients, including brand-new startups and established companies. Some noteworthy clients include Gong, Aura, and Cognism.
If you’re looking for a full-service growth partner, then Gaetano is probably your best bet.
He’s also a musician, which is pretty cool.
John Osuzyal and George Chaostis - Best for Go-To-Market Strategies

I’m including two consultants here since they’re basically a part of the same team.
While they do run an agency, Restartt, they are a small team of two that design full GTM strategies for SaaS companies.
Both are geniuses in their field and have built (and successfully exited) their own companies, so they use that experience and insight to produce proven strategies, not just jump on the latest trend.
With this service, they focus almost entirely on the acquisition growth loop of your business.
So instead of doing everything, they focus on covering the full spectrum of growth tied to user acquisition.
This also comes with a full tech stack that allows them to do paid media, founder-led content, and even signal-based outbound.
John & George have worked with some well-known names, including ServiceTitan, Warmly, and NordVPN. They also have a cool original website, so they know how to make a strong impression.
Diandra Escobar - Best for LinkedIn Content and Email Marketing

Diandra simply knows her stuff when it comes to content strategy and execution.
She is an absolutely excellent copywriter, and those skills transfer over to many different mediums. She’s also creative, helping to build out assets that enrich your high-quality posts, blogs, and original research.
Whether it’s mentoring for LinkedIn or ghostwriting, she is a very easy choice here.
She’s worked with some extremely well-known brands, including HeyReach, SEMrush, and Backlinko.
My favorite part is that her content is so good on LinkedIn, she never even promotes her services.
All she does is focus on helpful content that people trust, and post often. The same things your business should be doing. So she practices what she preaches.
Ryan Levander - Best for Conversion Rate Optimization and Analytics

Ryan Levander is the founder of Red Navel Consulting (seriously awesome name) and is a Colorado connection of mine.
He is one of the best to do it when it comes to CRO & analytics. He comes from a development background, so he understands the what, how, and why behind every CRO strategy he recommends.
But he’s not just giving recommendations of best practices; he’s A/B testing what works and setting analytics in place so you can improve the site based on data, not vibes.
That’s a core differentiator for Ryan: he’s not afraid to try new strategies until he finds what works best for your business. And he works with you 1:1, so he owns each strategy from start to finish.
If you’re looking for a dedicated partner to improve your site for CRO, I can’t recommend him enough.
Tim Davidson - Best for LinkedIn Ads and ABM

Despite Tim’s LinkedIn account showing otherwise, he knows his stuff when it comes to LinkedIn Ads.
His company, B2B Rizz (amazing name), is designed to help you target your ideal prospects on LinkedIn. His services also include ABM, so it’s not just standard LinkedIn Ads.
You’ll work with him directly, getting expert direction and strategy for your campaigns to make sure prospects actually care about them.
Throughout the engagement, he’ll also train your team so you can eventually take over on your own with a clear strategy in mind.
His LinkedIn is also very entertaining. Highly recommend giving him a follow if you haven’t already.
Jon Farah - Best for Lifecycle Marketing

Jon is a solid choice when it comes to lifecycle marketing.
If you’re unsure what this is, it’s when a user has already signed up for a free trial or demo.
Lifecycle marketing helps them get to the finish line.
This involves:
- Marketing automation
- CRM strategy and workflows
- Email, SMS, in-app, and push campaigns
If you’re looking to improve your lifecycle marketing efforts, Jon is your guy.
How to Hire the Right SaaS Marketing Consultant—My Personal Parameters, Even For Myself
To help you out even further, I’m just putting together my list of parameters that will help you decide how to gauge a marketing service provider.
Including myself.
Do your homework
Do your homework. Does this person seem legit? Do they seem knowledgeable in their industry?
One thing I always tend to look at is passion in the industry. Are they giving talks on the industry? Publishing about the industry? Posting on LinkedIn, their blog, email, etc? All of these are indicators of whether or not they know what they’re doing.
I mean, you can quite literally look at their content to get a sense of whether they know what they’re doing or not.
Know what kind of services you need
Before jumping into any service provider, know what you need beforehand.
Don’t go general with just marketing. Do you need help with strategy? Analytics? Social media?
If you know what you’re trying to fix beforehand, you avoid the risk of hiring someone who won’t actually help your business in its current state.
So when you do this, please at least have a general idea of what you want to accomplish with marketing.
Verify them with reviews or references
Verifying with reviews is probably the easiest way to gauge a company.
- Do they have testimonials on their site?
- Are they listed on platforms like Google Business, Design Rush, and Clutch?
- Are there case studies?
All of these act as social proof you can use to verify whether they’re legit or not.
In some cases, businesses will ask me for references they can contact to verify my work. Doesn’t happen often, but I’m always happy to oblige, as I’m sure others are too.
Stay away from general marketing agencies
Lastly, make sure to stick with a specialist, not a general marketing agency.
A generalist marketing consultant is probably fine, but you’ll get more bang for your buck if you know exactly what you’re trying to solve.
However, larger marketing agencies are notorious for overpromising and underdelivering to get the sale.
Meaning, they’ll promise you the world, only to pass you to a junior employee once the engagement starts. It’s a very common agency model, unfortunately.
At the very least, stick with a marketing consultant so you can deal with the person handling the work directly.
Getting Started with the Right Partner
And there we have it! The top marketing consultants for SaaS, each with expertise to help deliver the results your business needs.
Whether it’s SEO, growth, demand generation, or paid ads, there’s a consultant for everybody.
All of the names above are specific to B2B SaaS and are known within their field, so each is a very safe bet.
But only one comes with a dog.
